Most upload errors are not about the document content. They are usually caused by size limits, file type checks, page count rules, or filename restrictions.
Common reasons an upload fails
A portal may reject files that exceed a size limit, use a filename with unsupported characters, have the wrong extension, or contain more pages than the form allows.
Read the error message carefully
Many portals show a short error such as file too large, invalid file type, or unsupported filename. That clue tells you whether to compress, rename, split, or recreate the file.
Avoid repeated blind uploads
If a form keeps failing, fix one issue at a time. Rename the file, reduce size, or extract only the requested pages before trying again.
Keep a local final copy
After a file is accepted, save the accepted version locally. That helps if you need to submit the same document again later.
Quick checklist
- Confirm the allowed file type.
- Check the maximum file size.
- Use a simple filename.
- Submit only the pages requested.
